Indy.

Just that one word brings up visions of excitement and adventure.

Whether he’s chasing Nazis, freaking out over snakes or rescuing damsels and kids in distress, he’s our hero. Ever since Harrison Ford brought Dr. Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones, Jr. to life he has sparked the imagination of young and old alike.

Indy first entered our lives back in 1981 (hard to believe, I know) in Raiders of the Lost Ark, to be followed by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade in 1989 (also with a young River Phoenix), The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles from 1992 to 1996 (in the TV series), and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in 2008 — which I didn’t love. You can see them all here.

So, let your imagination run wild and be Indy, at least for one night.

C’mon.

Indiana Jones’ Hat

You’re not Indy without the famous fedora (also called a “Panama Hat”)! Indy almost always wore this hat for sentimental reasons, and many times risked his life to recover it.

Garth - original owner of Indy's hatIt was a sentimental keepsake because it was given to him many years earlier by a representative of someone he tried to rob. After a sheriff reclaimed the stolen goods from Indy, the man seeking it liked the courage and determination of Indiana so he put his fedora on Jones’ head, and told him, “You lost today, kid, but that doesn’t mean you have to like it.” You're not Indy without the hat! (That is Garth on the right, the original owner of Indiana Jones’ hat.

Indiana’s Leather Whip

You an’t think of Indy without thinking of his bullwhip. He first developed a fascination for the bullwhip when he was seven years old and saw a “whip” act in a traveling circus. While first learning how to use it, the whip tip struck Indy under his lower lip – thus leaving the scar he carries there.

He uses his famous whip for many thing — as a rope to swing across long spaces, for climbing, helping him to pull levers from far away, and (of course) as a weapon.

If you like the hat and whip combo, you can get the “authorized” pack here (both adult and child sizes).
