Lara Croft Tombraider
I used to be absolutely addicted to the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider video games. Dressed up like her for Halloween, too! OK, I’m no Angelina Jolie, but still fun.
If you’ve ever played and of the games, you know Lara is a hottie. And it seems like they keep making her even more so with each new version of the game. She’s tall, young, skinny and built (34D-24-35). Oh yeah, she also always has two 9-mm twin Colt 45s on her hips — unless the latest bad guy has taken them away (again!). But not for long. She always manages to rearm herself and keep going. Oh yeah, and she’s also British. Which I think is a good thing. I love the Brits!
Although I can’t seem to find an “official” version of her costume, there are still some things that will get the point across of who your cosplay is.
This is what is available on Amazon.
The Lara Croft I remember had an olive drab top, but I guess this one will do.
It includes everything but the toy pistols:
If you want to pick up a more authenic looking holter, you can get this drop-leg holster:
Lara has had many, MANY, clothing changes throughout the evolution of the game, but basically she seems to have summer and winter clothes (with occasional specialty outfits like a diving suit and jeans).
This is the best representation we could find of her cold-weather outfit.
It looks great on this model. It you like the boots, those are just below.
Tomb Raider Boots
Lara always needs good shoes for the places she goes. So, hiking in the mountains or diving off cliffs, these are faithful companions. Sturdy and blending.
Add her pistols an fingerless gloves, and you’ve got a good Lara Croft look going.
What else? Oh yeah, if you want the whole affect, you can get the long brown braid. These guys think of everything, I swear!
|And if you just want to go nuts, you can find some climbing/weapon axes here, but they are pretty pricey just to fill in a costume.|
